Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Manage the month-end close process
• Prepare and file tax returns
• Work with external auditors during the annual audit
• Provide financial analysis and support to other departments
• Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of experience as an accountant, with at least 3 years in a senior role
• Strong understanding of IFRS and Kuwait labor law
• Proven track record of success in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software/ ERP
