Geologist (Geotechnical)

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Field Engineering Geologist

Reporting: Reporting to Senior Engineering Geologist

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

 Supervise the drilling crew and labors in the field for the geotechnical investigation, and

field testing.

 Perform adequate inspection on the drilling and sampling operation in the field.

 Inspects proposed construction site, and ensure proper set up of test equipment and

drilling machinery.

 Arranges and assures all related logistic activities in the field such as site accessibility,

water, and sequence of drilling and other site activities in coordination with the Senior

Engineering Geologist.

 Ability for reading of project specs, and verification of the SoW (Scope of Work)

 Make a visual description of encountered soil and rock materials during drilling, and

prepare Field Logs.

 Logging of Trial Pits Samples.

 Supervise and carry out field tests such as SPT Testing, rock coring, permeability,
