Job Summary: The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet events, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations. This role involves managing staff, collaborating with clients, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality to deliver exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of banquets, meetings, conferences, and other events. Ensure that all event requirements are met, including layout, catering, decorations, and audio-visual needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and other personnel. Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure high levels of performance.
  • Client Interaction: Meet with clients to discuss event requirements, timelines, and special requests. Provide recommendations and ensure all details are captured to meet expectations.
  • Set-up & Tear-down: Oversee the set-up and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring that everything is arranged according to specifications, and that any leftover materials are properly handled.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food, beverage, and service meet the companys quality standards. Monitor the event for any potential issues and address them promptly.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and supplies. Work with the purchasing team to order necessary items and ensure the appropriate stock levels.
  • Budget Management: Assist with managing event budgets, ensuring costs are within the clients specifications while maintaining profitability. Process billing and payments for events.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all events adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for both staff and guests.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the kitchen, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events. Provide clear instructions to staff and maintain open lines of communication with clients during events.
  • Customer Service: Address any guest concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Banquet Manager or in a similar hospitality role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of event planning, catering, and hospitality operations.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
