MEP Project Manager

Position Overview:

The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing the full lifecycle of MEP projects, with a specialized focus on Plumbing, Fire Fighting (PL/FF), and Electrical systems. The role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising all MEP activities from design review through execution, commissioning, and handover. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and at least 15 years of hands-on experience in the MEP field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and implementation of MEP (Electrical and PL/FF) works across multiple project sites.
• Review and validate MEP designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and international codes (e.g., NFPA, NEC).
• Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, material procurement, manpower allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Manage the execution of site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, clients, and in-house teams for design approvals, inspections, and handover.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all documentation including shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and as-built drawings are accurately prepared and submitted.
• Conduct regular project progress meetings and prepare detailed status reports for senior management.
• Mentor and manage site engineers, supervisors, and technicians for high performance and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Masters is an advantage).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP project management, with a strong focus on PL/FF and electrical systems.
• Proven experience delivering medium-to-large scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• In-depth knowledge of local codes, international standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and MEP coordination tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Work Conditions:

• Full-time, site and office-based role.
• May involve occasional travel between project sites.
• Working hours as per company policy; flexibility required for project deadlines.
