Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our team. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control systems, electrical fixtures, and related equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement upgrades or new systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.
• Respond quickly to service calls and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures and standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of national and local electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
• May require overtime, night shifts, or being on-call depending on operational needs.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
