Job Title:

Construction Project Manager (C.P.M.)

Position Overview:

The Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the company. This position involves managing project timelines, resources, and budgets while ensuring adherence to quality standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Resource Management:

- Manage resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met within budget and schedule constraints.

- Manage resource procurement and allocation according to project needs.

- Negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure optimal contracts.

- Conduct equipment inventory checks to ensure availability, proper function, and appropriate use.

Quality Assurance:

- Overview quality control procedures to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.

- Collaborate with quality assurance and quality control teams to address any quality issues promptly.

Design Coordination:

- Manage coordination with the technical team to identify design concerns to be addressed and solved

- Facilitate communication between subcontractors, technical team and consultants to resolve design issues.

Client Communication:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or inquiries.

- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.

- Prepare and review consultant letters to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration with external consultants.

- Participate in project meetings and contribute to defining project objectives and deliverables.

Schedule Management:

- Coordinate with the planning department to assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring they align with project milestones and objectives.

- Monitor schedule performance and implement adjustments as needed to address delays or changes.

Risk Management:

- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

- Implement mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum and minimize impact on deliverables.

Team Leadership:

- Lead project teams effectively, fostering collaboration and accountability among team members.

- Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating their professional development and growth.

Budget Monitoring and Cost Control:

- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

- Implement cost control measures to prevent budget overruns and maximize profitability.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

- Implement measures to promote a safe working environment and minimize the risk of accidents or incidents.

- Collaborate with the H.S.E team to ensure the health and safety environmental policies.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.

- Generate comprehensive project reports for Head of department highlighting key milestone issues and achievements

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the construction industry.

· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office suite.

· Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

· Knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.

· PMP certification or equivalent credentials are a plus.

· Minimum 15 years of experience.

· Work experience related to finishes.
