• encourage staff development and support activities on the administration team
• assist in the completion of the curriculum
• collect and develop a yearly curriculum plan for all subjects within the department
• identify overall aims and objectives with their subject area
• design the structure of the work within the subjects and in meeting the need of the students
• observe teachers and make sure the appropriate curriculum is covered
• train and support teacher by observing classes and developing a training program to meet the teacher s needs
• assist in the design of assessment tests together with the level Principal and school counsellor
• assist teachers in the development and review of assessments with the subjects
• write a yearly report over the departments successes and challenges at the end of the school year
• develop action plans over department challenges
• chair subject committees for accreditation purpose
• help solve problems and resolve conflict within their department by meeting with teachers students and parents where needed
• liaise with all the other coordinators to ensure smooth transition between and within grades
• gather and present pertinent information to share with the subject team
• motivate students and staff by personal influence and concern for the team
• gather analyse and make available student achievement records
• collect and analyse all grade data with teachers for the department

• Certified TeacherMinimum Education: BachelorTeaching Experience: 2+ yearsLicenses & Certifications: Teaching Credential/License, TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours, TESL/TEFL Certificate, TESL/TEFL Diploma LevelVisa Eligible Citizenships: Visa eligibility is determined by employers and local regulations. If your citizenship isn't listed, you may not be eligible for this role.
