About the Role

The Medical Insurance Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all medical insurance activities for Group and the operating countries (OpCos). The Medical Insurance Specialist is to provide guidance and support to insurance teams to ensure unified plans and policies.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage, coordinate and control all medical insurance activities across all Zain OpCos and provide guidance and support to regional insurance officers to ensure proper functioning according to the unified plan and insurance policy.
• Resolve problem through proper channel communication and coordination regarding the medical plan.
• Control premium payments, billing, and contract documentation.
• Monitor and control claim reimbursement process and coordinate with stakeholders for timely payment.
• Generate medical insurance statistical reports as per the set up plan/s.
• Ensure proper controls are in place to meet objectives and service standards per الشركة guidelines.
• Update the health network to streamline service flow and reduce medical invoices issued outside the prevailing health network.
• Follow-up on activities and achievements of OpCos subordinates.
• Provide support in handling complaints and inquiries for employees.
• Serve as focal person for reimbursement claim process and implementation between TPA, insurer, and employees, ensuring timely claim settlement.
• Create and update database, claims, and operational risks by adopting required programs.
• Oversee and manage all administrative activities related to medical insurance in coordination with the insurance officers in all Zain OpCos.
• Liaise effectively with OpCos to ensure adequate policy implementation.
• Control and follow up the implementation of prescribed insurance working procedures with all concerned departments and parties within Zain OpCos.
• Assure employee satisfaction regarding health insurance services as per Zain's prevailing policy.
• Finalize monthly, quarterly and/or annual insurance reconciliations with concerned parties.
• Prepare monthly and periodic operating reports effectively to address main goals and objectives.
• Coordinate with designated employees of OpCo to manage the medical insurance plans.
• Maintain a harmonious work atmosphere with Zain employees to follow up on business-related matters.
• Provide guidance to designated employees to develop and enhance their insurance knowledge and skills.

What We Need From You

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, statistics, health sciences or similar.

Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years in a similar role.

Knowledge: Insurance policies, essentials of financial knowledge, forecasting, planning and logistics.
